In all the literature covering the model pulsejet, an updated book featuring the history, the evolution and the theory of this interesting engine is simply not available. In the fifties, in the Soviet Union, Vyacheslav Borodin wrote his famous treatise on pulsejets, never translated in the the Western countries (except maybe for anonymous initiatives). In 2008, the author published the first edition of his "Guida al pulsogetto", a veritable compendium about the origins and the developments of this engine. However, being the book entirely written in Italian, it suffered of a limited spread, being confined mainly in modeller’s circles of the peninsula. After some years, during which the content has been completely revised and enriched with new information, the book has been fully translated into English. Thus, thanks to the initiative of the Sandit publishing house, the first true International Edition of the work has come to light. While clearly written for model airplanes enthusiasts, this book is the most complete study on the subject currently available, and could represent a valuable starting point and stimulus for new research, experimentation and construction, both at amateur and university level.
